Zen Retreats– with Jisu Sunim

RETREATS FOR 2012:
DATES & VENUE TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON
These events offers a rare opportunity to undertake an intensive retreat led by Master Jisu Sunim, an exceptional Son meditation master from Korea (Son is the Korean term for Zen / Chan). Retreats are usually of either 7 or 10 days duration, starting on the evening of the first day and ending around lunchtime of the last.
The retreats are based on the Koan meditation method. Jisu Sunim is a meditation master from the Chogye Son Buddhist order in Korea. He speaks excellent English and teaches the Dharma in a fresh, original and deeply inspiring way.
Retreats are conducted in silence, rising early (4 am) and beginning with a morning
service, 108 prostrations and then meditation periods throughout the day.
Sitting meditation is interspersed with walking meditation, work periods,
vegetarian meals, inspiring talks and instruction, and with time for a walk and
rest periods, following a schedule that reflects a formal Son Retreat in a
Korean Monastery. The day ends around 10 pm.
These retreats are intensive and require commitment and determination., and are ideally suited to those who have prior experience of similar retreats, and those who wish to deepen their practice.
If you would like to be kept informed of future retreat dates, please email info@imoko.co.uk to be put on our contact list.
